woot! first post!
anyways im too tired to make up my character yet, because i need a good picture so ill do that later. first i wanna know what people think about ethics.
im somewhat of a consequentialist myself..but not in a typical sense. many people view decisions as trying to "achieve the greatest happiness" and its sometimes for the "good of the community" i think people do things that have good and bad values for each person. i.e. you dont kill a man because you would get in trouble. the effect of the cause is the reason that you dont ever even have a cause. This leads to some people asking things such as "Well if thats true, then why would someone donate money to charities or help others?" Well, my opinion on the matter is that the act of helping someone in need has a emotional response that gives you that "feel good" feeling in your stomach that makes it all worth while. This explains why some people would selflessly do some things that would normally seem illogical under this ideal.
Now i know theres loopholes and such in here, so please! tell me what you think! i want to get this theory (idk if anyone else has had it or not) ironed out and making sense
